By Christopher Maffei: General Milley — ’Ukraine is Defeated’

The Start of an Era of Great Power Conflict

Watching the Department of Defense’s budget hearing can test any journalist’s blood sugar. However, this year it felt a lot different, It felt like I was watching a metaphoric 90-year-old patient that had been put on life support and congress was infantilizing how they could keep him alive indefinitely.

And as this debate went on, I could not help (but) think, that between the secretary of defense’s lies and the manic desperation of congress, we may not live to see the end of the year. Of course, this was also exemplified by General Milley’s words in the hearing. And much like a surgeon with a terminal diagnosis. General Milley exuded a very solemn demeanor when he said,

“The strategic end state is that the global rules-based international order that was put in place in 1945 must be upheld,” Milley said. “How do you do that? How do you know you’ve achieved that end state? You achieve that end state when Ukraine remains a free, sovereign, independent country with their territory intact.” continuing, “ if that rules-based order goes out the window, be very careful, we will be…

— Doubling our defense budgets to 1.7 trillion —

“Because that will end an era of great power competition, and start an era of great power conflict, (and) this will be extraordinarily dangerous“

Keeping this in mind, last fall, General Milley stated that Ukraine was going to be defeated and that he was calling for a ceasefire. But why did he say that? In his mind, this would end the suffering of the men fighting a hopeless war and be an avenue to preserve the rules-based order.

And Although, Washington is hoping for a Pyrrhic victory. Most Americans have no concern about non-American people fighting hopeless conflicts. As of now, Russia has the initiative and is only going to stop when Ukraine is ended as both a political and military force. Ending the hope to preserve the rules-based order through a cease-fire.

But, how do we know Ukraine has lost the war? Last fall, at the Economic Club of New York General Milley, said, “When there’s an opportunity to negotiate when peace can be achieved, seize it. Seize the moment,” he said, “that an ‘outright military victory for Ukraine remains out of reach’ and that the onset of winter provides an opportunity for renewed diplomatic efforts”

But the question becomes, why did General Milley say this, and how does Milley know Ukraine is defeated? When the KH-11s fly over the region. The NRO relays this ISR to DIA in real-time. the intelligence community can formulate national security reports and run battlefield simulations based on the totality of information. For example, the logistics of both belligerents and the combat effectiveness of both the Ukrainian and Russian armies. And when using software like TDS in combination with predictive AI, American commanders can predict the outcome of the battles as well as the war.

In reality, General Milley knows precisely when Ukraine will be defeated. By asking for renewed diplomatic efforts he is trying to preserve Ukraine as a sovereign, independent country. He knows defeat is inevitable and by renewing diplomatic efforts he can try and preserve the rules-based order.

And guess what? Russia and China are not even picking up the fucking phone. My speculation is that this crisis is far worse than the Cuban Missile Crisis at this point and no one is communicating.

The dumbshits in Washington can see World Reserve Currency slipping through their fingers at this point. And they know they are in deep deep trouble with no clear way to right the ship. No weapons system is too big and no price is too high, It’s bipartisan support across-the-board. In fact, listening to the meeting one gets the feeling you are listening to gambling addicts doubling down on a bad hand.

There is no sense of negotiated settlement from the representatives and there is no sense of pullback from the brink. When listening to the lawmakers you get the feeling of a mother running to save a child from walking into a busy thoroughfare. It’s full speed ahead and dam the torpedoes.

God help us all.
