By Christopher Maffei: JDAM Ordinance Being Sent to Ukraine?

Note: All information within, is open and publicly available information. All conclusions are my own.

The Ever-Widening War

Recently, a popular defense online journal gleefully published the unsubstantiated report that Mk 84\83\82 and JDAMER kits are going to be sent to Ukraine.

Really?

There are many many problems with this nonsensical story. Not least of all, there is not one commanding officer that I know that would place his signature on a piece of paper giving the authorization to do so. In fact, I challenge anyone to show me the written order. Or simply, show me a photo of an Mk with a JDAM kit on a Ukrainian aircraft? Nope…

In fact, if someone asked me to place my signature on a document authorizing the transfer of JDAM kits to Ukraine.

I would resign on the spot.

Managing Mk-JDAM ordinance can be very complex and dangerous. Only trained ordinance crews with years and years of safety experience can do it.

Meaning, if a JDAM is being dropped on a Russian position; it is being dropped from NATO aircraft — Point Blank.

And given the information that’s publicly available, not only would the JDAMs be dropped by NATO aircraft. They would also be using American satellites to guide the bombs, NATO crews are assembling the JDAM kits onto the Mk’s, and American officers are relaying the ISR to the pilots.

If you think for one moment the Russians are going to stand idly by and watch 2000-pound GBUs fall on Russian positions —

The dumb-shits in Washington are DEAD WRONG.

To get the western public to buy into this civilization ending — horse-shit. Both NATO and the Jackals in Washington want you to believe that SU and MIG aircraft can be modified to carry a JDAM.

First, Mk’s and the JDAM kits attached to these bombs are only designed for NATO aircraft. It would take years of trial and error research for JDAMs to be mounted safely onto hard points under Russian jets.

Second, NATO aircraft avionics are not compatible with SUs or MIGs. Also, for the JDAM to be dropped it needs to have the aircraft’s INS system initialized with the transfer alignment. Then, the aircraft needs to provide both position and velocity vectors through INS to the JDAM kit before the Mk is released — only then can the pilot push the pickle button.

If that procedure is wrong I will stand corrected.

Third, the logistical and security concerns for getting the Mk’s to Ukraine would be a nightmare. And in many ways, no part of that story makes any sense, regardless.

Fourth, if JDAM kits fall into Russian hands they can develop a technology to jam them. Any American officer sending JDAM kits to Ukraine should be arrested on the spot and subjected to full Congressional investigation.

Meaning, Ukrainian aircraft are not going to be carrying JDAMs. It would take years of trial and error research before any officer would sign off on the safety concerns regarding this crap. In fact, it does not make any difference if the bombs are JDAMs or JDAM-ERs

If it turns out NATO aircraft intend to drop bombs of this magnitude on Russian positions. This represents a massive escalation between the United States and Russia. This escalation can very easily spiral right out of control and lead to a nuclear confrontation

For example…

Norwegian F-16 drops a JDAM-ER on a Russian ship in Sebastopol — explodes in flame, rolls over, and sinks. NATO claims it’s Ukraine. Next, the Russian command having none of this spook nonsense — (retaliates). Then, within two hours, the NATO decision center that ordered the strike on Sebastopol is turned into a smoking hole in the ground. 12 hours later, the USS Donald Cook, empties her magazine of Tomahawks onto the Russian Naval Port of Tartus — sinking 2 Russian ships. And finally, a Russian missile boat surfaces off the coast of San Diego and flattens Coronado with a nuclear-tipped SLCM. Shortly thereafter…

The End.

Call your local Congress 50 times a day if you have to and bring this escalation to an end. If you call, believe it or not, they listen. There is an old saying from the 1980s: “become politically active or become radioactive”
