“The Ghost Of Kyiv” A Story For Small Children

Please imagine, “The Ghost” lifting off from some unknown airfield from some forsaken place in Ukraine. Let’s start by assuming he has his ground crews and they are ready to service his aircraft and fight.

First, he needs to be vectored through the endless noise of ECM jamming. To a location where he is going to engage these (so-called) MiGs. But vectored by whom? Maybe ” The Ghost of Odesa?” Russian command would not send its fighters out until Ukrainian C2 was destroyed by a Kalibr.

Second, after getting through the most advanced ECM warfare on the planet. (And) only before “The Ghost Of Kyiv” arrives at his legendary battle. The “Ghost” needs to fight his way through the myriad number of S400s before he arrives.

Heavy trouble there.

Oh! but wait! That does not include the endless number of Russian special weapons battalions. They are shouldering the 9K38 Igla/SAM-7 ‘s.

I want you to imagine this small MiG flying along with a (melee) of SAM smoke trails crisscrossing in relentless pursuit of the “Ghost”. Quite honestly, I have only pity for “The Ghost ” Indeed, if I were a Ukrainian pilot you would have to hold me at gunpoint to get me into that cockpit to go against the S400.

On this battlefield — ” the sky is for the dead”

In reality, you are seeing the tattered remnants of the Ukrainian Air Force– in total defeat.
