The Nuclear Option? There is No Such Option

By: Christopher Maffei

Recently, Peter Zaihan was a guest on the Joe Rogan show. And as a typical Russophobic apostle, he started off by speaking about the Russian president in a mocking effeminate tone. Moreover, as a consultant for the Department of Defense, he wasted no time and threatened to assassinate Vladimir Putin with nuclear weapons—flat out.

Of course, Zaihan has no command authority. Sadly, however, no one at the Pentagon publicly denounced this individual.

And this is what he said—

“We know exactly where Putin is at any time, we are listening to his phone calls we are reading his emails if he ‘throws’ a nuclear weapon at the United States, we are going to ‘throw’ a nuclear weapon at him personally” he quipped.

This statement represents how low and desperate the Joint Chiefs have sunk. It seems the Chiefs are literally scraping the bottom of the barrel in desperation for public relations folks that are speaking on their behalf.

Especially someone like Zaihan who is openly advocating for World War III. A man who has not served one day in uniform.

But, what happens if Vladimir Putin gets hit with a nuclear strike?

If a single American nuclear weapon lands in Russian territory—all the Russian ICBMs will fly and fall into the American’s laps.

Nuclear tactics are very simple, if you don’t use your strategic weapons all at once—you’re going to lose them. Therefore, nuclear war is automatic, there is no debate and there are no last-minute phone calls.

Meaning, the United States will cease to exist and will be transformed into a radioactive wasteland. Most will die from the secondary effects of radiation within the food and water. The people that are left by this disaster will perish from famine. Nevertheless, the United States will end as both a political and military force.

Why is nuclear annihilation automatic?

The Russians employ what is called the “dead hand” or “perimeter system”. This is to prevent a “decapitation strike” by the United States. In a nuclear first strike, even if all the Russian decision-makers are dead. The “dead hand” will launch communications rockets to signal all ICBMs to launch. It is triggered by direct command, radiation levels, and tremors when the system is being used.

When is the “dead hand” active?

Right– now.

That is precisely why the United States deployed so many troops in the European theater in the 1980s. 250,000 in Germany and 300,000 more that could be rapidly reinforced from the United States within two weeks. What most people don’t understand nuclear weapons cannot win wars. That is exactly why they are pointless on the modern battlefield.

The only thing that wins real wars are combined arms elements and that is exactly why Russia is standing Victorious on the Caspian steppe.

It’s crucial that Russia is respected as a superpower and that we come to the table to negotiate new arms limitation treaties before the dumbshits in Washington wipe us all out.
