Christopher Maffei: Time for Switzerland to ‘Rear-View’ the United States

The War Against Helvetica is Ongoing

When we enter into the world of Swiss banking and American accusations of tax evasion. We are entering into a world of pure myth. We are entering into a world of whistleblowers and witnesses that do not exist. We are entering into a world of improperly scripted statements from incompetent intelligence agencies that are struggling to save the collapsing American Imperium. And finally, we are entering into a dark world where the only American goal is to destroy Swiss neutrality.

To meet this end, America will attack the soft underbelly of the Swiss economy — through the banking industry.

That is precisely why, Washington has once again accused Credit Suisse of helping American individuals avoid taxes. But this time around, it involves a gaggle of mystery whistleblowers and a group of nameless Credit Suisse employees; that all seem to be protected by the American establishment as well as the media.

Like most American claims against Swiss banking, we end up with a whole slew of completely unverifiable events and people. The question becomes, how do you cut through the immediate nonsense and come to some level of objective truth?

Luckily, there is a very long, ridiculously — (convoluted) 77-page Senatorial Financial Report that shows a thread of internal emails from a group of unverified employees at Credit Suisse. And there are three basic problems with the internal communications in the report:

First, the emails amongst the Credit Suisse employees are all in English. In most cases, when the Swiss are communicating with each other they would be writing in French or Swiss German not English.

Second, even if they were writing in English the composition and grammar in the emails are not that of Swiss people.

Thirdly, there is no way to verify the whistleblowers or the bank’s management, or the fictional family in the report.

And of course, the reductio ad absurdum, Swiss banks have a very low number of American account holders and a very very small number of Swiss-American diaspora. Therefore, the effort and logic of collecting taxes from American account holders within Switzerland are meaningless. The fact is, American tax authorities collected 4.9 trillion dollars in FY2022. This being the case, the amount of tax that could be collected from Swiss foreign accounts would be so small and insignificant that it would not even fund the United States government for 5 minutes.

And so…

We are in a world of pure myth. Of people and events that do not exist. Where America is using its influence in the mainstream media to place pressure on Swiss neutrality.

And we can never forget when entering this realm —

“To be an enemy of the US is dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal”

Keeping this in mind, the United States is currently in an economic war with Switzerland — flat out. The American agenda is to give the false impression of tax enforcement while at the same time waging a low-intensity conflict with the aim of destroying Swiss economic interests (and with it)— Swiss neutrality

This is an attack on Swiss sovereignty nothing more nothing less.

For the Swiss government to continue with the current relationship is self-destructive and pointless. Economically the current contracts between Swiss defense procurement are also self-defeating. The more the Swiss government depends on American military hardware the more it opens the Swiss people to attacks on Helvetica’s economic interests. Especially with this latest quasi-counterinsurgency against Credit Suisse.

American Power is Concluded

To my friends in parliament, we need to get used to the new reality. American power projection is now a myth. In the past, the United States used to dominate the world in regimental size force projection. This is no longer the case, and as it stands, the United States is theoretically defeated and has the same military relevance as China or Brazil. From this standpoint, American foreign policy needs to be treated with the same stature as the Swiss would treat Brazil.

American power is now a myth. It should be treated as such.

Let’s review the new American reality in 2023. When the United States asked China to sanction Russia, the answer was NO. When the United States asked India to stop using Russian petroleum products, the answer was NO. When the United States asked Indonesia to sanction Russia, the answer was NO. When the totality of African states were asked to sanction Russia over Ukraine; (without exception) every single African state voted NO. When the American president showed up in Saudi Arabia to ask for an increase in oil production the answer was NO…

…and it goes on and on and on…

If Tanzania can tell the United States to go away. Guess what? Switzerland can tell the United States the same thing. The American economy is collapsing and being connected to the US system is counterproductive. What the United States does have to offer is a host of sanctions and threats, attacks on Swiss industry, and constant attacks on Swiss culture through the media. If you have a country treating you as if you’re the enemy, don’t placate them.

Some Swiss will say, “We have a large trading surplus with the United States and we can’t lose it “

I get it, but

The sun is rising on a new trading block called the BRICS, And Switzerland is welcome to join it. It’s larger than the G-7 and you can move money around without all of the problems that you have with SWIFT. It is time to move forward with a new reality that does not involve a hostel state that is trying to destroy the Swiss economy and at the same time force Switzerland into the possibility of a devastating war by compromising Swiss neutrality. It’s time to rear-view the United States. The risks of this (so-called friendship) outweigh the benefits — many times over.
