Christopher Maffei: NATO’s Milano Moda Donna

Subtext: The Specter of Franco’s Spain in Vilnius

It was a hot summer in Lithuania when the aircraft started to arrive in Vilnius. Shortly after arrival, the dignitaries of the totalitarian theater started to parade off the small jets as if they were heading to a stage set for Fidelio.

Of course, this was the NATO summit led by Jens Stoltenberg. One thing we can never forget about Jens, he is a member of the Norwegian aristocratic classes and has a sense of fashion and presentation as he travels with his entourage. In stark contrast, Vladimir Zielinski, as if a man under siege; was wearing his signature woolen green flannel as if he just came back from driving a combine.

As we know, this humiliation was to set up the denial of Ukraine into NATO and to garner sympathy within the European fifth columns. Zielinski, a man with the head of a pumpkin and ears of a gargoyle; same as seen on the Notre Dame Cathedral — has played his part well. He has played right into the hands of Russia and into the delusions of the European aristocratic classes.

Throughout history, the collapse of organizations comes in many forms. For NATO, it comes in a well-dressed cabal that looks as if it came from Milano Moda Donna.

For Zielinski, his net worth is no less than 500 million and he has homes all over the world, including Florida. Being humiliated in this fashion must be getting very old. After all, money only goes so far in life.

It seems amazing that Russia allows him to live. I guess he has a Russian purpose as well.

Interestingly, the Coca-Cola scholar winner Jake Sullivan had a rare moment of candor in Vilnius when he was talking about NATO stockpiles of ordnance when he said,

(paraphrasing) “ (…) The unitary rounds that we have been receiving from our allies and partners have been given to Ukraine. Those stockpiles are running low. (…) In the absence of cluster munitions, Ukraine would not have enough artillery to conduct this counter-offensive, (and) potentially, not enough ordinance to hold the current positions it has “

This was confirmed by Stoltenberg earlier in the month in Berlin,

“ (…) Our arsenals of weapons and ammunition are depleted and must be replenished not only in Germany, but also in many NATO countries. (…) This is the main thing that needs to be done to continue supporting Ukraine and ensuring our own defense”

We can never forget last fall, at the Economic Club of New York when General Milley said,

“When there’s an opportunity to negotiate, when peace can be achieved, seize it. Seize the moment,” he said, “that an ‘outright military victory for Ukraine remains out of reach and that the onset of winter provides an opportunity for renewed diplomatic efforts”

Finally, in a classic reductio ad absurdum; Christopher Cavoli was speaking in Sweden about Russian capabilities. He gave a very chilling warning,

(paraphrasing) “The scale of this war is out of proportion with all of our thinking, but it is real,” Continuing, “And we must contend with it,” he said.

In war, you either have ammunition or you don’t…

At least for General Cavoli, the dearth of public truth from time to time can offer some insight into the American totalitarian state. In many ways, America seems to be taking the same obsequious direction as Franco’s Spain. Nevertheless, the admission of the lack of ordnance by senior officials should give NATO members pause if not outright panic.

If someone approached me, and said, “We want you in our alliance, yet we have no ammunition or ordinance — come and join us!” It makes no sense for Sweden to join NATO. Obviously, favors were exchanged in place of the common good.

Many American cities like Detroit, Los Angeles, and San Francisco are cities in collapse. Walking along the streets of these cities you will witness conditions that are far far worse than the Rwandan refugee camps in their depravity. How can it be possible that any nation-state depends on America for its security when America can’t provide a basic human existence for its own people?

NATO is simply an organization in name only. it has no stockpiles of ordinance within its armories and cannot defend itself. America is NATO’s principal backer and it’s collapsing, and it’s collapsing both socially and economically. It no longer has a modern industrial base, and the American Military has lost its technical edge.

It’s time to manage the American collapse in a way where America can rebuild confidence within itself and reintegrate within the world economy. Where it’s respected by the global south and shows basic human rights for its citizens.

We can stop pretending now. NATO is defeated. No amount of censorship or de-platforming is going to change that reality
